Meet the Ladies of Luxley

The three founders noticed that most of the cannabis edibles in the marketplace were high-dose and full of refined sugars as well as other unhealthy ingredients. With a desire to serve the canna-curious and mild users, they created Luxley. Committed to helping women who suffer from similar stresses, demands, and ailments with an all-natural product, Luxley gives health-minded people an edible they can feel good about putting into their bodies – all while adding a little levity to the daily grind.

Ana

Co-Founder | Sales

Ana graduated with a BS in Communications from the University of Florida. Shortly after graduation, and moving cross-country for her new career in advertising, her father passed away. The heavy loss and grief coupled with her demanding career led to a severe form of Crohn’s disease (an auto-immune disorder) that ravaged her body from the inside out. Responsible for developing strategic global marketing and promotional campaigns for some of Hasbro’s mega-brands including Transformers, GI Joe, Marvel, Star Wars, and Tonka, her responsibilities grew, as did her symptoms. After taking a two-year break from her career to focus on her health, Ana joined Aegis Sciences, a science-first healthcare company specializing in laboratory-based compliance drug testing. Here, she worked with pain management doctors across the state of California and saw the impacts of the opioid crisis firsthand. At the same time, she was on her own search for natural alternatives to pharmaceuticals for her Crohn’s related pains and anxieties. After much research and an introduction to cannabis from a close friend, she discovered its benefits for the first time and realized shortly after she could help others find a more natural solution to pain and anxiety management, just as she had.

Kim

Co-Founder | Marketing

Kim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Economics & Management from Cornell University and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley. After business school, Kim spent over 10 years in brand management for 2 of the largest wine producers in the world, E&J Gallo and The Wine Group, and launched 15+ SKUs for major wine brands such as Cupcake Vineyards and Chloe Wine Collection. However, like many women, she found herself juggling responsibilities with her career and her family of five. Ultimately, the burden of “trying to do it all” was negatively impacting her health from stress induced ailments to many sleepless nights. She tried melatonin to help her sleep because she wanted to avoid over the counter medications and prescription drugs. When that didn’t work, she consulted with a naturopath who explained the medicinal properties of the cannabis plant. With this in mind, Kim tried cannabis and to her relief, she could finally sleep. Kim’s experience inspired her to help other women with similar stresses and demands with a natural, yet effective remedy.
